I booked Villa Celeste for my 40th birthday party and 8 friends joined me to celebrate, including 2 from London. I didn’t know what to expect as I had never rented a private villa, though I had been to PV several times before. Any expectations I had were blown away. Upon arrival, Francisco the butler, helped us with our luggage and asked if we were ready for a margarita. That set the tone for the best 40th week I could have imagined. Javier the cook made some delicious meals, Francisco was very attentive to us, and Francis the maid kept our rooms very tidy without us really even noticing she was there. The two master suites are above the rest of the villa. My partner and I stayed in the nicest of the two. The room was spacious and uncluttered, and the bathroom was incredible. There are enough social areas that all 9 of us could gather in one of them together, or find our own space in either our rooms or one of the other areas. We probably spent more time in the pool than out of it though. In the afternoons, Javier would prepare ceviche, guacamole, and salsa with chips for everyone. On my actual birthday, 4 other friends had a stopover from their cruise ship and spent the day with us. We cleared it ahead of time, but Javier had no problem making extra food for a group dinner. We hadn’t even left yet before we started talking about booking the villa for the next year. Highly recommend it.
